Introduction

1. Important information and who we are

This privacy notice will give you information on how T2 Linguistics Ltd collects and processes your personal data, including any data you may provide whilst you visit our website, sign up to our newsletter, receive any communication from us, or purchase our services.

For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR, the data controller is T2 Linguistics Ltd.  Our registered address is: Blackwell House, Guildhall Yard, London, EC2V 5AE. T2 Linguistics Ltd has designed a code of conduct within the company to apply the GDPR effectively and ensure that we are fully compliant. This enables us to create effective safeguards to mitigate the risk around data processing and protect the rights and freedoms of individuals.

If you have any questions or would like to make a complaint. You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the ICO, so please contact us in the first instance.

2. The data we collect about you

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data). We may collect the following information:

  • name and job title
  • contact information including email addresses
  • demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
  • other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers.

3. How is your personal data collected?

We use different methods to collect data from and about you including through Direct interactions. By Direct Interactions you may give us your Identity, Contact and Financial Data by filling in our enquiry forms or by corresponding with us by post, phone, email or otherwise. This includes personal data you provide when you:

  • request marketing to be sent to you
  • enter a competition, promotion or survey or
  • give us some feedback.

Where we need to perform the contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you.

We will get your express opt-in consent before we share your personal data with any company outside T2 Uk Ltd for marketing purposes.

You can ask us or other Third parties to stop sending you marketing messages at any time by following the opt-out links on any marketing message sent to you, or by contacting us.

Where you opt out of receiving marketing messages, this will not apply to personal data provided to us as a result of a service purchase or other transactions with us.

Change of purpose

5. Disclosures of your personal data

  • whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not want the information to be used by anybody for direct marketing purposes
  • if you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by writing to or emailing us at info@t2linguistics.com

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting, if you tell us that you wish this to happen.

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you. If you would like a copy of the information held on you, please write to info@t2linguistics.com .

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

6. Keeping your data safe & secure

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need-to-know.

7. Retaining your Data

By law we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being customers, for tax purposes.

In some circumstances you can ask us to delete your data by contacting us at info@t2linguistics.com. In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

8. Your legal rights

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data to:

  • object to the processing of your personal data.
  • withdraw consent for its use 
  • request access to your personal data
  • request change and correction of your personal data
  • request erasure of your personal data

T2 Linguistics Ltd will make all attempts to provide individuals with information including: the purposes for processing their personal data, our retention periods for that personal data, and who it will be shared with. We call this ‘Privacy Information’.

If you wish to exercise any of the rights set out above, please contact us. No fee is usually required. You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response

9. Gaining your consent

Where consent forms the the lawful bases for processing or collecting personal information we will:

  • use a positive opt-in will not use pre-ticked boxes or any other method of default consent
  • use a very clear and specific statement of consent
  • keep your consent requests separate from other terms and conditions
  • name any third party controllers who will rely on the consent
  • make it easy for you to withdraw consent and tell them how
  • keep evidence of consent
  • keep consent under review, and refresh it if anything changes
  • avoid making consent to processing a precondition of a service.

10. Legal Notice – Changes to privacy policy

We reserve the right to add to or amend this privacy policy at our sole discretion, without prior notice to you.

Please review our privacy policy on a regular basis to make sure you have read the latest version and you understand what we do with your personal information. Your continued use of our services or our web sites following the posting of changes to these terms means that you consent to those changes.
